Super Animal Adventure Squad and the Case of the Baboon Bandit – part one!

Ok folks, here’s a link to the first episode of my comic on the Guardian website- I hope you like it!

I’ll post episode two next week!

P.S and here is a picture of it taken by my co-comic inhabitant Sarah McIntyre (jabberworks ) in it’s printed state:

It’s surprising how bad the quality of the actual printed paper is – they printed my edition completely wonky! The real DFC is much better!

I know – my copy had the exact same bit of print rubbed off from the facing page that yours does. And I think that the dotted line on the left of the comic section is supposed to be along the spine – it’s such a botched job!

hey, by striking coincidence that image you’ve posted there was a stand-out moment for me when i read this over the weekend — i love the way his ear’s being blown forward by the blast. great stuff.

interesting, too, to see the guardian using strips which have already been in the dfc, rather than before they’re in it — is this the first time they’ve done that? must say, to me it makes a lot more sense to do it this way round.

As far as I know the Guardian’s always run strips ahead of the DFC up til now – I’m not sure what brought about this change of strategy.

And I actually think that picture looks pretty awful – the colours – the lines – ugh! I think there are probably only about 4 panels in the entire 12 issue run that I will be able to look at without cringing…

I suspect I may be my own worst critic – I really can barely stand to look at my stuff once it’s finished, especially when it’s sandwiched between such brilliant stuff in the DFC. I think I need to learn to be my own fan!
